What’s one thing you would focus on to be a part of the solution right now?

So right now, if I was a partner, I would also like to know what all the partners are thinking about the one thing they’re doing to be part of the solution.

Basically, right now, times are uncertain, right? It’s a time to thrive or a time to crumble. And I choose thrive.

Now there’s days where I have worse days than others being self-quarantined and my fabulous dwelling just because lack of human contact. So reach out to people when you need help. Right?

But you’ve got to keep your mindset good. Right? That’s step one.

So I’m about to talk about what you can do for your clients.

But like the first thing is you have to protect your mindset, limit your intake on the news. I’ve had horrible days where I just felt bleh- when I found myself in a downward spiral, watching the news online for like hours on end, clicking in, you know, in LinkendIn and Googling. Right? To guard your mindset.

First, have calls, find accountability partners that are in business. That’s helping me right now to make sure I’m good.

So first, number one, take care of yourself.

Two, the best thing to do if you want to use this as an opportunity is be the beacon of light for all of your clients right now.

Be that beacon of hope for them, because right now, like what I’m doing, you’ve got to be careful because you don’t wanna look like you’re capitalizing on a pandemic, right?

But what I’m doing is I’m reaching out with empathy to people and saying, hey, I know things are a little bit a little bit upside down right now, but now would be the time to develop your skills. What can I do to help you? Right now, we’re making our training online and available.

Maybe you can do, “Hey, we got a special discount, actually. I’ll tell you guys what I’m doing right now. I just thought of this last night and I thought it was brilliant.

So we’ve been doing scholarship programs for veterans. A lot of times veterans transition out of the military and then they’re not sure what job to take because they’re not sure how their their skills translate to the civilian world. But a lot of veterans, I mean, in the military, they’ve run projects like literally like life or death projects. So they would make the best project managers. They’d be great at Agile. So we’ve run scholarship programs where we’ve had companies sponsor veterans going through our training and we work with them to rewrite their resumé and help them get a good paying job.

So even certified scrum master the class I’m doing this weekend. Yeah, it’s a thousand dollar price point, but it’s one of the highest paying certifications of the last five years. And people can get a six figure job just off of the certification. It’s phenomenal.

But here’s the thing, guys. Like I was thinking, what if we not only did a promotion for veterans?

What if I said I’m going to pay three veterans to go through my training? How could that be to kind of flip it upside down? Right. So not only am I going to do like a scholarship program where veterans don’t have to pay a thousand dollars and the normal prices. Twelve hundred ninety seven. So it’s almost thirteen hundred dollars full price. We’ll do an early bird sign up there under a thousand.

But like not only do they not have to pay around a thousand dollars to attend, but I’m going to pay them to give back in this time of need. That was actually just thinking I might do the same with some DJ’s and they may not only give no costs for three DJ’s to attend my class, but what if I actually paid three DJ’s to learn a new skill set, learn how to do agile project management, learn how to better schedule like manage your life, like how like mind-bending is that?

Think about what can you do in your industry that will kind of shake it up a little bit. What can you do to serve? What can you do to show that you’re serving in this time? What can you do to offer a free strategy call to anybody in the real estate niche right now to help them get through?

And you can even be like the callers on last night, one DJ from New York City coordinated it. These are hey, guys, I just want to bring together people in this industry and we can talk about what we’re doing, what’s working, how we’re getting by, how we’re staying afloat, what are some strategies that we can share.

What if you just facilitate that? So, you know, right now, be the beacon of light for your clients. Be the beacon of light to attract new leads where even if you’re not asking them to pay you right now, try to host like a virtual like a live Zoom call where you’re going to help and you’re gonna have conversations of value with all of them in a group. What if you did that? People are going to remember you.

I see I see a bunch of the DJ’s in my area that are doing livestreams where they’re doing a DJ set livestream and they’re doing donations for the workers at the local venues that they normally DJ at.

So there’s this place called Water in Tampa. It’s one of the only like Vegas style cabanas like pool parties here in this area. And my buddy, he’s one of the resident DJ there. And so he’s going to be DJing this weekend and he’s going to be basically giving all proceeds or at least a percentage with the proceeds to all the people that work there that are out of work right now.

You know what? I’m seeing the same DJ’s going live and collecting donations to help the community. Those are the people, when you think about, hey, who do I want to hire as a DJ? I’m going to remember the five that I’m constantly seeing online right now.

So how can you use this to become that known person in your niche by putting up valuable content online, tips, hosting, you know, group consults, conversations of value, having conversations of value with them just help them get through this time.

Now is the time to give that.

Genuine generosity is going to really help to have you be front of mind.

Once the world is back to normal, they’re going to remember that when things get normal.
